The Mulberry Room opened in September 2001 to offer childcare for 3-7s in response to the requests and needs of working parents who wanted to take up their part time nursery place but needed daycare for the rest of the day.The Mulberry Room offers the opportunity for the children to have their part time sesion in the nursery then move on to the Mulberry Room,or vice versa, where they have the chance to relax in a homely environment which provides for their individual needs. With effect from January 2008 we are also able to offer childcare for the under 3s.
The Childcare is open throughout the year. We close for all Bank Holidays,during the Christmas week and 3 training days throughout the year. It is important to us that although the focus is more on childcare, the ethos and attitudes of staff are the same as the Nursery School.
The Mulberry Room is part of Grandpont Nursery School and Children's Centre .We see it as an extension to the excellent practice we already offer within the school. Our aim is that both parents and children enjoy the security,warmth and peace of mind it provides.
