About Us

In 2006 Grandpont Nursery School was designated a Chidren's Centre. This means that in addition to providing nursery education and childcare, we are now also committed to developing additional services to support families and children from Birth to Five.

Some services will be delivered on-site under Grandpont's roof. Others may be delivered in other settings in the community through working in partnership with local school and playgroups, churches, voluntary and statutory organisations. In the coming year we shall the use of added space for family work at Grandpont when the purpose built extension to the nursery is complete.

The Children's Centre catchment area extends from Carfax in the city centre through to Grandpont, Hinksey Park,South Hinksey, Cold Harbour and Kennington in the south.
